Welcoming Jon

A Guide Dog Puppy with a Special Legacy.

Welcoming Jon

At Guide Dogs NSW/ACT every puppy represents hope, independence, and the promise of a brighter future. We are proud to introduce Jon, a Guide Dog puppy born on 15 August 2025 to his mother Ulette and father Soihtu.

Jon is more than just a puppy, he carries a name with deep meaning. In recognition of The Prance Family Trust’s ongoing contributions to Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, we are honoured to name him in memory of Jon Prance. This tribute reflects the Trust’s enduring commitment to supporting people with vision loss and ensuring they have access to the life-changing assistance of Guide Dogs.

Over the coming months, Jon will begin his journey: learning basic skills, socialising in the community, and eventually entering formal training. With the right guidance, he could one day become a trusted partner, offering independence, confidence, and companionship to someone navigating life with vision loss.

Jon’s journey is a reminder of the incredible impact that generosity and community support can have, not just on one life but on many.
