Trustee
The Deeds for both Funds under GreaterGood appoint the Public Trustee and Guardian for the ACT as Trustee.
Robyn Hakelis
Robyn is the Public Trustee and Guardian for the Australian Capital Territory, and Trustee for GreaterGood.
Robyn is a Senior Member of the Public Trustee and Guardian Investment Board and member of the Australian Guardianship and Administration Council. Robyn is a qualified lawyer with experience across both the corporate and not-for-profit legal sectors. Robyn holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Politics and International Relations. Robyn is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Prior to becoming the Public Trustee and Guardian for the Australian Capital Territory, Robyn worked in both the Commonwealth and ACT Public Service. Robyn has held a variety of senior executive roles in the government sector across legislation, policy & programs.
Our Board Members
Aidan Goldsmith
Position: Member
Aidan Goldsmith is an international development specialist with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. His current role focuses on the performance and governance of international development programs.
Prior to joining DFAT in 2016, Aidan spent 15 years abroad leading humanitarian and development programs in Iraq, South Sudan, Nepal, Kenya and Kiribati. Aidan has held senior leadership roles with the International Rescue Committee, Save the Children, Oxfam and the Red Cross.
Aidan holds degrees in Nursing (Bachelors), Masters in Education, Masters in International Business (MBA) from Australian universities and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management from School of Oriental and African Studies, London.
Doug Gillespie
Position: Member
Doug Gillespie introduced the concept of the foundation to a former Public Trustee for the ACT based upon his charitable experience in the private sector and has been instrumental in the establishment of GreaterGood and development to its present sound position.
Doug is a former Deputy Public Trustee and Guardian and currently Chairman of Trustees of the AFL Canberra Foundation. He is an Associate of the Executor and Trustee Institute, a Senior Associate of FINSIA, a former income tax agent and holds a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment.
Glenys Talivai
Position: Member
Glenys joined Public Trust as CEO on 18 March 2019, and is based in Auckland.
Public Trust is New Zealand’s largest provider of trustee and estate administrator services and plays an important role in the charitable trust sector - administering over 400 charitable trusts.
Glenys is a highly regarded executive with significant leadership experience in the financial services sector. Her career includes roles in strategy, sales, claims and transformation at Tower Insurance, and marketing, products, and distribution at the Medical Assurance Society. She also held senior leadership positions at ANZ.
Glenys currently volunteers as Board of Trustees Chair at Epsom Normal Primary School and previously served as Deputy Chair at the New Zealand Institute of Management. She was also winner of the Young Executive of the Year at the Deloitte Top 200 awards in 2012.
Dr. Joanna Mills
Position: Member
Dr. Joanna Mills is a doctor and health systems researcher. She works in the Australian Public Service and serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Australian National University. She earned her medical degree, MPhil, and PhD from the University of Sydney, and an honours degree in psychology from Georgetown University in the USA.
After more than a decade of Defence life and medical training, Joanna now calls Canberra home. Through her involvement with GreaterGood, she is dedicated to promoting kindness, wellbeing, and a stronger sense of community across the region.
Matthew Wang
Position: Member
Matthew is an experienced banker with more than 15 years of financial services experience in Australia and Hong Kong. He has worked for both multinationals such as Westpac and Citigroup as well as investment advisory firms, advising high net worth and high-profile clients.
In his spare time, Matthew has contributed to Service NSW as an industry expert as well as a professional mentor in Mentoring Men. He holds a Bachelor of Psychology, a Diploma of Financial Services and is currently completing his MBA at UNSW.
Nikhil Clementi
Position: Member
Nikhil Clementi is a communications and engagement officer for the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. He studies at ANU, studying a Bachelor of International Security Studies, and Science, majoring in Environmental Management. While at university, Nikhil has been a part of several student organisations and led the College of Asia Pacific Students Society as its Vice President in 2023. He has also worked with the Water Justice Hub, the ANU Students Association, and the Association for Defence and Security Studies at ANU. He is passionate about bringing community voices into decision-making and creating real-world solutions to address environmental issues such as climate change.
