On Thursday, 16 October 2025, the historic halls of Old Parliament House came alive with stories of resilience, hope, and impact as Lifeline Canberra hosted the Spirit of Canberra Awards, an annual celebration of individuals and organisations driving positive change across the region.

Among the inspiring finalists was GreaterGood, Canberra’s public charitable foundation, recognised in the Spirit of Impact category. This honour reflects GreaterGood’s unwavering commitment to empowering philanthropy and linking generous individuals with causes that matter. With over $19 million contributed to the community through 100 individual funds, GreaterGood continues to be a cornerstone of social investment in the ACT.

The awards featured four categories:

• Spirit of Hope – celebrating visionary individuals and organisations shaping Canberra’s future.
• Spirit of Impact – recognising groups making tangible, positive change.
• Spirit of Resilience – honouring those who have overcome adversity and uplifted others.
• People’s Choice Award – voted by the public from the pool of nominees.

The People’s Choice Award was a heartfelt moment, with the Canberra community voting to honour a finalist whose story resonated deeply across the region.
