WalterTurnbull supports GreaterGood
The Capital Region's Community Foundation – the first public perpetual fund for Canberra and the Region – GreaterGood – brings in its first public fundraising returns.
The WalterTurnbull Ball for GreaterGood held in Anzac Hall at the Australian War Memorial on Friday 3 June 2005 raised over $60,000 for projects and activities to contribute the well being of the Capital Region.
In addition to services in kind contributed by WalterTurnbull, the Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Turnbull also presented a donation of $15,000 to Margaret Reid, Chair of GreaterGood.
WalterTurnbull, a local financial services company, established it's operations in Canberra 13 years ago. It is now also established in Sydney and Melbourne and is a homegrown success story employing over 300 staff.
The Board and Management Committee of GreaterGood is grateful to WalterTurnbull and its other major sponsors, ZOO Communications, Pirion Printers and the Public Trustee for the ACT for their generous goodwill and commitment to the wellbeing of our region.
- The community of the GreaterGood Foundation comprises the Southern Eastern region of NSW including: Tumut, Snowy River, Cooma-Monaro, Bombala, Bega Valley, Eurobodalla, Greater Queanbeyan, Eastern Capital City Regional, Yass Valley, Upper Lachlan, Greater Argyle, Boorowa, Young, Harden, Cootamundra, Gundagai, and Tumbarumba.
- The Patron of GreaterGood is Lady Deane. The Board is chaired by Margaret Reid. GreaterGood is a public fund and the Board and Management Committee comprise community representatives from a broad sector of the community. The Trustee is the Public Trustee of the ACT.
